Es wird sich bei dem Adressaten sicher um seinen Schwiegersohn Gottlob Häbler in Dippoldiswalde handeln, der 1762 in Wittenberg einen kleinen Druck zu Ehren Ritters veröffentlichte. 1 (30. VI.): "[?] Dem Hö…chsten Gott sey Danck, daß alles so glücklich abgelaufen ist, Gott helfe weiter, besonders wegen der bessern Versicherung. Ich habe bey dem Ministre sehr gebethen, auch lauter schöne Versicherung. Wenn es nöthig seyn solte, und es stösse sich in etwas, so darff mirs immer gemeldet werden, so will über alles, einen Brieff an des Churfürsten Beichtvater, der hier mit mir Bekantschafft gemacht hat, und ein mächtiger Mann ist, schicken. Er hat mir große Promessen gemacht, aber man muß dergleichen Leute nicht eher brauchen, als im äußersten Falle, denn alle Ministre gehen sonst entgegen. Wenn mir Gott das Leben fristet, und ich muß auff den Land Tag, so dencke einen gutten Grund zu legen, wie solches auch die Noth erfordert, denn ich mercke meine Schwäche zu sehr, und ich muß einen Druck bekommen haben, weil ich das Gedächtnuß so sehr verlohren habe [?] So bald mit dem historischen Theile fertig bin, will [ich] mich schonen [?]" Klagt über finanzielle Probleme und berichtet von Bekannten. 2 (13. Rothe mag das Memorial übergeben, aber von Frantzius vernehme, daß der Czozauer [Kozauer?] ein Anverwandter vom Lindemannischen Hause sey, und ihm der verstorbene vom Xavenius sey vorgezogen worden, wieder den Willen der Cammer. Das Gebits Ambt aber in Zwickau sol nach der Anzeige des H. Frantzius auch nicht viel eintragen, denn die Stadt nimt täglich ab. Freylich wäre es besser, als das ihrige, aber nicht auff immer [?]" - Der Kursächsische Hofrat Ritter ging 1742 als o. Professor für Geschichte an die Universität Wittenberg, zusätzlich wurde ihm auch die Professur für Ethik übertragen. ? Leicht gebräunt, mit Heftspuren im Falz, ein Einriss alt geklebt. ? Aus der Sammlung Rötger mit seiner roten Beschriftung am Kopf. Die Schriftstellerin Johanna Friederike Lohmann (geb. Ritter; 1749-1811) war in erster Ehe mit dem Akzisekommissar Häbler in Zwickau/Dippoldiswalde verheiratet, der das Geld der Familie durchbrachte und schließlich verschwand. Die Ehe wurde nach zehn Jahren geschieden. Die Lohmann gehörte später zum Freundeskreis des Magdeburger Pädagogen und Dompropsts Gotthilf Samuel Rötger (1749-1831). ? S e l t e n. ".
