Condizione: Very Good. 1899-1901 Tennant and Ward (New York), four 5 x 8 inches tall hardcover volumes, marbled paper-covered boards over blue leather spines and tips, five raised bands and gilt lettering to spines, page edges red, copiously illustrated with black-and-white photographs, drawings and diagrams, [v.1] viii, 425; [v.2] 427-633, 183; [v.3] viii, 185-524; [v.4] 390 pp. (1563 pages total.) Very slight rubbing and edgewear to covers, with very slight sun fading to spines and mild bumping to a couple of tips. Prior owner name /notes in pencil to a couple of margins, easily erased. Otherwise, a very good to near fine set of this uncommon collection of the first 32 issues of this important American photography journal, in splendid half leather binding. Softcover. Each issue is in Blue wraps with one exception. Various paginations, all are profusely illustrated. A significant collection, with several lengthy runs within. Includes issues 30-84, 118, 121-144, 155, 156, 174 (in it's original issue and in it's second edition from 1920), 180, 185 (June 1922), 199 (December 1926) and 205 (May 1932). A total of 88 issues. Each issue is devoted to a singular topic, and contains many ads for all things imaginable that relate to photography of the early 20th century in America. Quite uncommon. Sold as a lot. Generally VG. A few issues lack all or part of outer wrapper, perhaps 3 or 4. A few have bent corners or pages from being stored for decades after being stacked that way. A wee bit dusty, but overall the lot is in superb condition given it's production.…

Ten leather bound volumes containing six issues each bound without original covers or ads, and five volumes in original printed blue wrappers. Leather volumes 4-3/4 by 7-3/4 inches; paper volumes 5 by 8 inches. Each issued covered a single topic; topics here include Modern Lenses, Flowers and Trees, Home Portraiture, Vacation Photography, The Darkroom, Landscape Photography, and Aerial Photographs. According to camerapedia.wiki: 'Due to popular demand many issue numbers were reprinted a number of times and some issue numbers were rewritten and reissued to bring them up to date while they remained in print.' The leather-bound volumes are early reprints. Illustrated in black-and-white from drawings, diagrams and photographs. The leather volumes are stamped on the spine with out-of-sequence volume numbers unrelated to the magazine issues which otherwise appear in order.
