Stewart was a prominent Scottish fundamentalist evangelist who also wrote books, started a publishing company and directed the Russian Bible Society. Stewart was the first preacher from the West to go behind the Iron Curtain after World War II. In 1970 there was a fire in his home leaving dark smoke marks on some books. There is no smoke odor. Hardcover. One quarter binding, green cloth on spine and dark green cloth on covers. Silver gilt lettering on front with gold gilt lettering on spine. 346 pp. Brown end papers. Illustrated in black and white. Underlining was done by Doctor James A. Stewart, book does not contain his name or initials. Some pages have stains, readability is not compromised. Covers have general wear, rubbing, some creases on back cover. Spine and edges of front cover have discoloration due to smoke. Overall a very nice copy. Full refund if not satisfied.
