Hardcover. Condizione: Good. No dust jacket. Light corner wear, some surface variations across covers- small creases, some bowing/swelling at edges. Front cover surface has some light spotting. Mild discoloration to faces of textblock, light foxing to top face. Otherwise in swell shape- sharp corners, the pages are clean and unm…arked, the binding is square and tight. Titling on spine and embossed boat scene on cover are done in a bold gilding.

Narratives of travels of P…itts from Algiers to Mecca and return, Daniel from London to Mocha and return, Poncet from Cairo to Abyssinia, De Brevedent's account of the journey to Sennar, etc, with appendix on Ovington's description of Red Sea Ports, and includes a detailed 30 page introduction by Foster. Pitt's description is the first of Mecca by an Englishman. A picture of this book is available on request.
