Lister was to write at least three more books in the Leafy series, including Leafy and Prince Brumby (1944), Leafy's Seventh Wave (1948), and Tubby the Little Round Bear: a Gladys Lister Leafy Book (1949).

1st ed, small oblong, 24.5x19, 32pp, original paper backed illustrated boards, worn copy, binding loose, chips and tears to spine ends, 8cmx 2cm slice of clear tape on the front left corner of the cover, browning to spine portion of the cover, small scuffs to corners, small piece of clear tape to title page (1cmx1cm) ,similar outline and surface removal caused by a second piece of tape, the Joyce Abbott illustrations are in great condition, and the text pages are very good. Classic and scarce sea side adventure/tale for children.
