Autor vie udrzat citatela v napati, strhnut ho, ba i uviest na nespravnu stopu, aby az v zavere prekvapil neocakavanym zvratom udalosti. Sonntag, Berlin Je to iba pribeh o skole? Vonkoncom nie. Treba si vzdy zachovat aktivny postoj k zivotu, vyjst z porazky neoslabeny, osvedcit sa pri skuske, aj sa vediet rozlucit s niekym milovanym -- to su otazky vyvinu, tykajuce sa kazdeho z nas, ci je mlady, alebo stary.

This book analyses Tolkien's approach to the depiction of vices and virtues in three Middle-earth works, The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, and The Silmarillion. While providing a general synthetising overview of up-to-date research in the topic, its uniqueness consists in the fact that it goes beyond what has yet been written in the field by attempting to present a complex comparative analysis of the role of the seven cardinal vices and their opposing virtues as recognised by the Catholic Church in the three Tolkien's works. This book has a threefold aim. The first is to determine how much Tolkien's depiction of vices and virtues is concordant with their theological understanding. The second is to explore to what extent, in depicting them, Tolkien adhered to the principles of his own theory of sub-creation and the theology of fantasy. And the third is to investigate the differences and similarities in the depiction of the vices and virtues between his three major works.

Aggiungi al carrelloMolluscs of the Czech and Slovak Republics is intended for anyone interested in molluscs occuring in the Czech and Slovak Republics and neighbouring countries. Introductory chapters give a brief overview of the morphology, anatomy and biology of land snails and freshwater molluscs. They provide basic information on their ecology and significance for humans, on their palaeoecology and the history of their research in the Czech and Slovak Republics. One chapter summarizes basic methods of collecting and proper storage of shells and soft-bodied molluscs. Each species is briefly described, including variability, ecological requirements and distribution. Particular attention is paid to distinguishing characters illustrated by colour photographs, with emphasis on key shapes and structures. Internal anatomy with key diagnostic characters is illustrated in species that are otherwise difficult to tell apart. All species and subspecies occurring in Czech and Slovak Republics are shown on 68 high-quality colour plates. Photographs of characteristic specimens in multiple views, often accompanied by surface and mouth details, provide a clear tool for rapid and reliable identification of all native and introduced mollusc species in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Taken together with the text, they make Molluscs of the Czech and Slovak Republics exceptionally informative. This fact will be certainly appreciated by amateur and professional zoologists, conservationists, teachers as well as shell collectors and all lovers of nature. Molluscs of the Czech and Slovak Republics is fully bilingual with parallel Czech and English versions. All species names are listed in Latin, Czech, Slovak, English and German. Separate index of taxa in each language facilitates quick lookup of the species in the text and colour plates. The authors prepared the book with great care and believe that it has all attributes to become the standard guide for central European molluscs. 264 pp., 62 b/w text-figs, 68 pls with 855 col. figs, hardcover gr. 8 [17.5 x 24 cm].

Condizione: Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - Within the aging populations the questions of protection of frail and incompetent elderly in Europe have become significant. The aim of the project is to find out the possibilities of creation of a system of protection of frail and incompetent elderly that would enable them to spend their life in dignity and protected their invertible and indefeasible human rights. The analysis is based on three main pillars: 1) legal analysis of the guardianship systems; 2) social demographic analysis of the data necessary for understanding the guardianship system and alternative solutions. The outcome of the project is going to be definition of main problems, examples of appropriate solutions and presentation of alternative solutions. The research of the statistic Framework consists of free basic parts: 1) description and analysis of the empiric reality of the guardianship system; 2) description and analysis of the initial factors reflecting the demographic and socio-cultural situation in the context of the guardianship system; 3) predicted development of the social demographic situation.
