West 28th Street between Broadway and Sixth Avenue was by 1900 the largest concentration of popular music publishers any single street had ever seen, and Kaiser was one of the smaller independent operations among them. Based on what can be gleaned from sheet music covers and catalogue records, Kaiser had at least fourteen works published between 1901 and 1912. He was unusual in the Tin Pan Alley world in that he both composed and published his own music, operating as a one-person brand rather than placing his work with a larger house.
