Ihre Bedeutung und Bestimmung ist eine doppelte : einerseits sollen sie äußeres, anschauliches Zeichen für den Vorgang der Weihung selbst sein, andererseits vermögen sie den tieferen Sinn dieses Vorganges - nämlich die göttliche Legitimation der dichterischen Tätigkeit bzw. eines bestimmten Stilideals oder Genos des zum Dichter Geweihten - zum Ausdruck zu bringen und das Moment der Begeisterung im Augenblick der Weihe zu betonen. Die Dichterweihe als symbolischer Akt faßt diese Handlungen in ihrer Einheit zusammen. Das Überreichen des Symbols bildet die letzte Phase eines Prozesses und ist der Weiheakt im eigentlichen Sinne, gleichsam die Krönung ; denn damit ist ein höchster Punkt erreicht : Der Auserwählte der Götter hat eine Ausweitung und Steigerung seines inneren Wesens erfahren, die überirdischen Ursprungs ist. Er ist als Dichter bestätigt worden. Sprache: Deutsch Gewicht in Gramm: 550.
