Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book presents a critical analysis of the literary works of Herrand von Wildonie, an Austrian poet of the 13th century. Von Wildonie's repertoire consisted mainly of lyrical love poetry, of which this book focuses on four of his narrative poems. The analysis investigates the evolution of von Wildonie's writing techniques by comparing his works to those of his contemporaries, such as Neidhart and Ulrich von Liechtenstein. It also draws connections between von Wildonie's writing and earlier literary traditions, as seen in the influence of Hartmann von Aue. Furthermore, it examines the cultural and historical context in which von Wildonie wrote, shedding light on his unique perspective as a member of the Austrian nobility. Through this multifaceted approach, the book offers valuable insights into the development of medieval German literature, particularly in the areas of narrative poetry and courtly love. It is a significant contribution to the study of medieval German literature, providing valuable insights into a fascinating and influential writer of the period. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book surveys the 1884 Austrian educational reforms that sought to address the changing needs of the times by instituting a new set of instructional guidelines for various subjects, including the classics, foreign languages, and math. The author examines these new guidelines with an eye towards their impact on the broader educational landscape in Austria and beyond. These educational reforms, which advocated for a shift towards instruction centered around practical use rather than rote memorization, were not limited to the sciences and extended to the humanities as well. The author argues that these guidelines are still relevant more than a century later and that their insights are essential to understanding the modern educational landscape. The book concludes by emphasizing the need for a comprehensive approach to education that encompasses both theoretical knowledge and practical application, and that can be adapted to the changing needs of the times. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
