He was dubbed "The Desert Fox" by the British and apparently was respected for his military leadership skills. This study provides a balanced assessment of his entire career from junior officer in the First World War through his achievements on the battlefields of Europe and North Africa between 1940-1944, before his ignominious end at the hands of the regime he served. 128 pages, indexed. 7.5 x 9.75 inches. 2004, Brasseys, London, UK.
