Orig. published 1969-1962, the series was taken up by a French author in the 1970s-1980s, followed by 2 new books in 2018/19, a stage adaptation & a radio drama. This title was book #6, orig. published in 1954; this is the 4th impression (printing of that FIRST EDITION from 1959. With blue decorative cloth over boards lettered in darker blue to spine, this hardcover has 124 pages, with pen-and-ink illustrations throughout by Bruno Kay. Condition is VG: generally quite clean, pages creamy white with moderate tanning; completely unmarked save for mild foxing to endpapers & outside page edges. Binding strong & straight, hinges secure, corners slightly bumped. The price-clipped DJ is VG- (minus), with moderate rubbing to extremities & a few tiny chips; nicely protected by former owner in clear nonreflective mylar cover.
