After the US Civil War they established the Battle Creek Sanitarium in Michigan to promote good diet and physical fitness for everyone. It has since been converted to US military hospital use during and following several wars. Many famous people spent time there, including Amelia Earhart, C.W.Post (the -other- cereal company founder), President Harding, Johnny Weismuller, Henry Ford, Mary Todd Lincoln, Sojourner Truth, among others. Hydrotherapy was one of their keystone groupings of healthcare processes - surviving today in all the best Spas around the world. A vey rare/scarce book on the spectrum of care.
