One…of the more interesting items for the Thackeray collector which includes descriptions written by him. Other contributors include Douglas Jerrold and Leigh Hunt. The illustrator Meadows was a prominent comic artist and was associated with Leech, Jerrold and Thackeray in formulating the idea of an English Charivari, and idea that Mayhew and Lemon expanded into Punch. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Hardcover.
