A broken run of this journal starting with May 1884, the issues for May 1895, 1896, 1897, Dec 1901, Dec 1904, Dec 1905, Dec 1906, Dec 1907, Dec 1908, Dec 1910 then December 1911 through to June 1936. The run lacks the first volume of 1893 and the Journals for 1902 and 1903. A note i…nserted at the time of binding mentions that the Journals for 1902 and 1903 are unobtainable. The run is bound in three stout volumes of strong buckram but the spine of the first volume is missing , however the volume remains firm. The labels are rather worn on one volume. Withdrawn stamp of Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew on each front free end paper and earlier stamp of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries. There are no stamps to the contents. The Journal of the Kew Guild for this long period contains much on plant hunting and expeditions, news from Kew Gardens, obituaries of eminent botanists and horticulturalists and articles on notes on all aspects of gardening and botany. A heavy item which will require considerable extra charges to send an overseas order.
