Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - Essay from the year 2017 in the subject Pedagogy - Family Education, grade: 0-8, Aga Khan University, language: English, abstract: Parents are always dreaming of nurturing their child by providing stimulation to their child for their holistic development. Though, parents are getting awareness about their child's physical growth through routine checkups and other medical implications. However, parents have little knowledge about stimulation that will help their children for their holistic development which includes social, physical, cognitive, moral, ethical and spiritual development. Thus this paper is an attempt to explore and share stimulation that parents can provide during the time of conception till birth as the development of the child begins from the time when a child is conceived. With this objective, this study discussed the activities or stimulation that is required for the development of a child in a holistic manner in each trimester. This study is a qualitative research based on reviewing the available research related to child development during conception time. In addition, survey with parents that fall in each trimester was also done. Three parents from each trimester that is first, second and third trimesters of pregnancy had selected on random basis. The data revealed that role of parents; Mother and Father both have significant impact on child's development in terms of providing different stimulation at different levels. The data also entailed that the development of child begins from the time of conception which will remain and continue after the birth. At the end, this research found that the basic social, cognitive, physical, moral, emotional and spiritual development of a child depends on the stimulation which they received during the time of conception till birth. This study concluded by broadening the zone of research for the child's development in holistic manner rather to be based on physical growth only.

Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - Master's Thesis from the year 2015 in the subject Pedagogy - The Teacher, Educational Leadership, grade: 3.5, Aga Khan University, language: English, abstract: This study explored the factors that were required for creating an environment based on a professional learning community (PLC) that not only provides support to teachers on a regular basis for their development, but also builds a collaborative learning environment for the teachers in the school particularly in the early childhood development (ECD) context.Further, this study also identified the processes that helped to build PLC using the appreciative inquiry approach. In addition, the support of appreciative inquiry as an approach for building PLC was also measured. Eight research participants were selected who were involved in four stages of appreciative inquiry, namely discovery, dream, design and destiny. The data revealed that trust, collaborative learning and reflective dialogue were some of the factors that are required for creating a PLC environment. However, three processes for initiating PLC culture were included which are classroom teaching and observation, constructive feedbacks and reflective dialogue sessions. At the end, this research found that the appreciative inquiry approach was significant as a value-added tool that helped to build the collaborative environment in the school and provided participants an opportunity to share their skills and expertise as well as their dreams and imaginations with each other.

This study utilized a quasi-experimental, non-equivalent control group study design to answer the research questions. The findings showed a significant difference in the variances and outcomes as a result of the TURP clinical pathway intervention. This book is a key to a successful clinical pathway program which lies in continued support and acceptance from clinicians, support and leadership from senior management, and the presence of a dedicated team of case managers, doctors and paramedical professionals.
