Kaum läßt Schamsi Ali Baba einen Moment aus den Augen, wäre er beinahe von einem Auto überfahren worden. Und dann, als Schamsi sich einen Grieskuchen kaufen will, flattert Ali Baba davon. Eine wilde Verfolgungsjagd über den ganzen Markt beginnt . Peter Klaucke, geb. 1943, studierte Illustration an der Fachhochschule Köln. Als Grafiker arbeitete er für Fernsehen, Presse und Werbung. Seit 1979 illustriert er freiberuflich Bücher. Ghazi Abdel-Qadir wurde 1948 in Palästina geboren. Als 16jähriger Junge mußte er die Schule abbrechen, um zum Unterhalt der Familie beizutragen. Er arbeitete zunächst in Kuwait als Hotelboy, dann als Bauchladenverkäufer, Briefeschreiber und Kellner. Später wurde er Restaurantbesitzer. Das Abitur holte er in Jordanien nach. In Bonn und Siegen studierte er Germanistik, Anglistik, Evangelische Theologie und Islamwissenschaft. Nach dem Studium war er als Übersetzer, Lehrbeauftragter und Privatdozent tätig. Seit 1988 lebt er als freier Schriftsteller bei Siegen. Sein erster Jugendroman "Abdallah und ich" kam auf die Auswahlliste zum Deutschen Jugendliteraturpreis und erhielt den Friedrich-Gerstaecker-Preis. Für "Mustafa mit dem Bauchladen" erhielt er u.a. den Österreichischen Kinderbuchpreis 1994 und den Zürcher Kinderbuchpreis La vache qui lit". In deutscher Sprache. 59 pages.
