Anschließend werden die Möglichkeiten zur Modellierung aller Gleiskomponenten sowie derjenigen Fahrzeugkomponenten dargestellt, die bei Erfassung…von Wechselwirkungen zu berücksichtigen sind. Lösungsalgorithmen und Lösungsbeispiele schließen den ersten Teil ab. - Als zweiter Teil ist eine deutsche Übersetzung der ersten Arbeit, in der Fragen der Gleisdynamik behandelt werden, aufgenommen (Timoshenko, 1915). Timoshenko verwendet eine außerordentlich einfache, aber auch heute noch in vielen Fällen sehr erfolgreiche dynamische Erweiterung des Modells der Winklerschen Bettung für Rechnungen im Zeitbereich.- Im dritten Teil schließlich wird zunächst das statische Modell von Winkler so für dynamische Rechnungen im Frequenzbereich erweitert, dass sich eine breite Palette von Gleismodellen damit behandeln lassen. Der Übergang zu Zeitbereichsmodellen, bei denen es sich dann um Erweiterungen des Timoshenko-Modells handelt, wird vollzogen. Im Anhang findet der Leser Erläuterungen zu den heute existierenden Programmen, mit denen sich Probleme der Gleisdynamik lösen lassen. Da Gleisdynamik und Gleisschädigungen heute ein relevantes Forschungsgebiet sind, sind die Ausführungen für die theoretisch orientierte Forschung in den ingenieurwissenschaftlichen Disziplinen von Interesse. Es richtet sich aber auch an Ingenieure in der Praxis, insbesondere beim Betreiber DB AG sowie bei Nahverkehrsbetrieben. Das Buch richtet sich ebenso an Studenten des Verkehrswesens und des Bauingenieurwesens, die sich mit Schienenfahrwegen beschäftigen müssen. (Reprint der 1. Auflage von 2001).
