His Institutiones theologiae dogmaticae (1789) became the standard textbook of dogmatics in Austria. The Nova bibliotheca ecclesiastica Friburgensis, which he founded and largely authored, was one of the first Catholic theological journals and offered critical commentary on works of theology.
