Ping-hui Liao is Chuan Lyu Endowed Chair Professor and Head of Cultural Studies at the Literature Department of the University of California in San Diego (USA). K. Alfons Knauth is Professor of Romance Philology at the Ruhr-Universitaet Bochum (Germany). Worin liegt nun das Spezifische der Physiotherapie Dazu gehOrt die physiotherapeutische Befundaufnahme, die der kla sischen klinischen Diagnostik folgende besondere Gesichtspunkte hinzufOgt: - den Gewebetastbefund, - den Muskel-, Gelenk-und Bewegungsstatus, - den Atembefund, - die Analyse der Bewegungsgewohnheiten, - das Reaktionsverhalten und die Trainierbarkeit. Nicht nur das Muskel-, auch das GefaB-, Nerven-und Stoffwechselsy stem sind durch Obung einer Wiedergesundung, einer Stabilisierung und durch weitere Verbesserung der Funktion sogar einer hoheren Leistungsqualitat zuzufOhren. Die funktionelle Betrachtungsweise steht im Vordergrund.
