Huile sur Isorel, (1935), 45.3 x 54.3 cm., cadre Montparnasse. Greta Knutson (Suède, 1899-1983), suédoise, arrive à Paris pour une formation artistique, rentre dans l'atelier d'André Lhote dont elle devient l'élève. Elle se lie au mouvement surréaliste auquel elle adhère. Une passion naît pour Tristan Tzara qu'elle épouse et prend le nom de Greta Knutson-Tzara. Elle réalise de nombreuses scènes intimistes, des portraits. Dans les années 40 elle se lie à René Char dont elle devient la compagne. Usures et fines craquelures au cadre.
