In der Weim…arer Republik führte sie erst selbst ein Vagantenleben und bündelte ihre Erfahrungen 1929 in der Ballade vom Elend, einem Liederbuch in der Tradition eines Francois Villon oder Erich Mühsam. Politisch engagierte sie sich besonders für die Rechte der Sinti und Roma. 1931 bis 1933 war sie Mitglied der Roten Gewerkschafts-Opposition" (RGO), der Roten Hilfe" und des Freidenkerbundes". Bemerkenswerte Broschüre aus dem Umfeld der nur kurz existenten (Ende 1920er Jahre bis zur Niederschlagung 1933) organisierten Vagabundenbewegung, in deren Umfeld zumindest zeitweilig u.a. Gregor Gog, Gusto Gräser, Artur Streiter und Theodor Plievier aktiv waren und das der anarchosyndikalistischen FAUD nahestand. Angestrebt wurde eine klassenlose Gesellschaft auf Basis der anarchistischen Werte Solidarität und gegenseitiger Hilfe. Deutlich wird anhand dieser Organisation auch das beachtliche, umfassende kulturelle Wirken des damaligen anarchosyndikalistischen Umfeldes. So war die Bruderschaft war zugleich auch eine Künstlerbewegung. Der "Malervagabund" Hans Tombrock gründete mit Gog, Hans Bönnighausen und Gerhart Bettermann die Künstlergruppe der Bruderschaft der Vagabunden". 1929 wurde die erste Kunstausstellung organisiert und im Verlag der Vagabunden" erschien eine heute kaum mehr auffindbare Vagabundenmappe". Gramm 600 Raubdruck/ Reprint der 1929 im "Verlag der Vagabunden" (Sonnenberg, Stuttgart) erschienenen Erstausgabe.

Eine bemerkenswerte Broschüre mit pazifistischer Intention, in der Mihaly den "Landstreichern und Bettlern" ein Denkmal setzt, wenige Jahre bevor diese vom Nationalsozialismus verfolgt und ermordet wurden. Das Buch stammt aus dem Umfeld der nur kurz existenten (Ende 1920er Jahre bis zur Niederschlagung 1933) organisierten Vagabundenbewegung, in deren Umfeld zumindest zeitweilig u.a.
