English-language publication of a series of articles published for the Swiss Foundation for Alpine Research. The articles include 17 of which focus on aspects of the 1952 Swiss Everest Expedition. Others include an article by Ella Maillart on a journey to the Nepalese Himalaya. 220 pages printed and bound on brown, cloth boards. Small tear to cloth on bottom of spine area, rubs to spine area of f.e.p., internal.
