Spotting starting on first blank page and continuing through age 8, starting again on page 603 and continuing to the end (32 pages affected front & back). Marbled end-papers. Subtitle: carefully selected: with a biography of the author and original and authentic notes. The preface is dated 1868. Double-columned print. Bookplate on front paste-down of Russel Wilson Chatham. Contains all his major works, plus journals, memoirs, papers and selected poems. Looks handsome on the shelf, very sturdy binding.
