Attractively decorated hardback boards. Floral inlay to front board. No date. Circa 1872. 12 coloured illustrations by the Leighton Brothers. An unusual book. Pagination starts from page 49, as does the contents list. So pages are numbered 49 - 92. Clearly complete in itself, and too large for a sample. Perhaps this was intended as part of a larger work? It appears to comprise half of the only similar copy we can find (which has 92 pages and 24 plates but clearly a different title page and frontis). We can find no other similar online. See photos.
