Bildmaß der Darstellung ca. 27 x 38 cm ( Höhe x Breite ), Blattmaß ca. 41 x 49 cm ). Dargestellt wird ein Mann der eine Frau auf der Flucht durchs Wasser trägt. Das Blatt ist im weißen Außenrand gering fleckig, etwas angeknickt. Die Außenränder mit Randläsionen und lichtrandig, der Unterrand mit Einrissen ( durch Passepartout aber gut abdeckbar )( Lagerort Grafikmappe Kubin , Sofa ) ( Weitere Bilder auf Anfrage ) / Artikel 21530 /// Image size approx. 27 x 38 cm (height x width), sheet size approx. 41 x 49 cm. Vollrandiger Druck der 75 Exemplare umfassenden Auflage. - Der österreichiche Grafiker, Schriftsteller und Buchilllustrator Alfred Kubin lebte ab 1898 in München, wo er zunächst die private Malschule von Ludwig Schmid-Reutte besuchte und sich ein Jahr später an der Königlichen Akademie für das Fach Malerei immatrikulierte aber das Studium bald abbrach. Nach mehreren Studienreisen im Jahr 1905 wurde er 1906 bei Wernstein am Inn auf dem alten Herrensitz Schloss Zwickledt ansässig. Ebenfalls 1909 gründete er mit namhaften Künstlern die Neue Künstlervereinigung München. Kubin illustrierte etwa 60 Bücher, darunter Werke von Dostojewski, Oskar Panizza, Edgar Allan Poe und Elias Canetti und veröffentlichte druckgrafische Mappenwerke, weiterhin hinterließ er tausende Federzeichnungen. In den 1920er Jahren verkehrte er anlässlich literarischer Abende bei dem mit ihm befreundeten Unternehmer, Kunstsammler und Bauhaus-Förderer Otto Bamberger, der auch grafische Werke Kubins erwarb. - Insgesamt ganz minimal gebräunt.
