Nachdem er in der Reichskristallnacht verhaftet wurde, emigrierte er nach seiner Entlassung noch im Jahr 1938 über Frankreich und England nach New York. Von 1905 bis 1932 komponierte er über 30 Operetten.- Regina (1875-1942) und Berthold Friedmann (1868-1937) betrieben seit 1910 das "Residenz-Atelier für moderne Photographie" im Residenzpalast in Wien I., Rotenturmstraße 20. In den 20er Jahren gehörte es zu den bekanntesten Wiener Ateliers für Gesellschafts-, Porträt- u. Modefotografie. Nach dem Tod von Berthold Friedmann im November 1937 führte Regina das Atelier als Witwenbetrieb gemeinsam mit Harry Jeidels unter dem Namen "Residenz-Atelier-Jeidels" bis März 1938 weiter. Friedmann u. Jeidels waren jüdischer Herkunft. Das Atelier wurde 1939 arisiert, Jeidels emigrierte nach Australien, Regina Friedmann wurde am 20.6.1942 in das Ghetto Theresienstadt deportiert und am 23.9.1942 im KZ Treblinka ermordet (siehe "Aus Wien vertriebene/ermordete jüdische Fotografen und Fotografinnen).-.

Die Sentenz bei Veröffentlichung in Druckschrift wiedergegeben. - 1909/10 war Ascher musikalischer Leiter des Cabaret Fledermaus; in den 1920er Jahren begann er Volkslieder und Filmmusik zu schreiben. Nachdem er in der Reichspogromnacht vorübergehend verhaftet worden war, emigrierte er noch 1938 nach New York, wo der promovierte Jurist Urheberrechtsfälle bearbeitete.
