Blick von einer Anhöhe auf den Leopoldsberg (Blickrichtung ungefähr von Süden nach Norden).- Emmerich (Karl) Kirall (geb. am 31. 10. 1875 in Mährisch Schönberg - gest. am 17. 12. 1939 in Wien) erhielt eine Ausbildung als Ziseleur und Graveur. Er war Unteroffizier im k. k. Militärgeographischen Instit…ut in Wien. Im 1. Weltkrieg war er in verschiedenen Garnisonen, besonders im Osten eingesetzt. nach dem 1. Weltkrieg war er im Bundesamt für Eich- und Vermessungswesen als Kartenzeichner beschäftigt. In seiner Aquarelltechnik war sein Vorbild Rudolf von Alt maßgebend. Karl Ginzkey war mit Kirall im Amt beschäftigt und befreundet.

Nebehay-W. 310, 21.- Blick vom gegenüberliegenden Donauufer auf das Kahlenbergerdorf und den Leopoldsberg. Klein im Hintergrund Klosterneuburg. Das Kahlenbergerdorf war bis 1891 eine eigenständige Gemeinde und ist seit damals zum Teil, seit 19…54 zur Gänze ein Stadtteil Wiens am Nordrand des 19. Wiener Gemeindebezirks. Bei der zweiten Türkenbelagerung, 1683, wurde der fertiggestellte Bauteil der Kirche auf dem heutigen Leopoldsberg von den gegnerischen Soldaten zerstört. 1693 erhielt der bis dahin Kahlenberg oder Kalenberg genannte Berg den Namen Leopoldsberg, der benachbarte Sauberg wurde zum neuen Kahlenberg.
