Aggiungi al carrelloRecord of a lyrical experience. Pp. [32]; med. 8vo; qr. red cloth, spine lettered in gilt, cream & red floral patterned papered boards, slightly soiled, corners lightly worn, slightly bruised at foot of spine; bookseller's sticker at foot of upper pastedown, free endpapers faintly offset, occasional slight soiling; Fanfrolico Press, London, 1930. Edition limited to 175 numbered copies, signed by the author. Arnold, 41; Chaplin, p. 70; Ridler, 11. *The author's second book of poetry. A copy we handled some time ago bore this signed inscription from Jack Lindsay, tipped-in after upper free endpaper: 'I still think the two little books of Elza's poems show a genuine originality despite the limitations. Practically all her letters are gone, but I turned up a bit of one the other day and felt it had the same strange quality as her verse'. In his inscription for Harry Chaplin's copy of this book, Jack Lindsay explained that no colophon was included in the book: 'partly because the poems exactly filled out the pages and because this was entirely my own work - setting and printing.'. Signed.
