A very scarce copy of the 'minutes of the first meeting concerned with the celebration, together with background material'.Comp…leted in 1580, Longleat House is leading and early example of the Elizabethan prodigy house, and is the seat of the Marquesses of Bath. The year 1980 marked four-hundred years since its completion, and preparations for the celebration started two years earlier.This meeting sets out the list of individuals who will be involved in arranging these celebrations, with two additional names handwritten to the tail of the list, and discusses aspects of the history of the house and estate. The use of the gardens, the choice of logo and music, potential pageants, and the scale of the celebrations ate discussed.Also present is a Longleat House card reading 'with the compliments of the Public Relations Office'. During this time he took candid photos of the Fab Four on and off set using medium-format and 35mm film. The negatives remained undeveloped for 57 years and were recently discovered among the family papers. Each of the developed prints are now available in two sizes and are strictly limited to 35 in each size. Please allow two weeks' delivery time on this print. PH 151747, S 105295.
