The author has endeavored to research and point out the causes of our defeats, as well as those of our victories. We will understand why the soldiers beaten at Neerwinden, after the victory of Jemmapes, triumphed again in the plains of Fleurus, why the success of Zurich, followed the disaster of Novi, why Leipzig and Waterloo after Austerlitz and Wagram, Metz and Sedan the day after Sebastopol and Solferino " E-178; Littérature; 9.2 X 6.1 X 1.1 inches; 540 pages.
