Arnemann (1763-1806) weiß Hirsch / Hübotters Biographisches Lexikon der hervorragenden Ärzte zu vermelden: "Obgleich als Lehrer und Schriftsteller geschätzt und geachtet, sah sich A., seiner vielen Schulden wegen, die durc…h ein vielleicht etwas zu luxuriöses Leben veranlasst waren, im Februar 1803 genöthigt, Göttingen heimlich zu verlassen. Von Hannover aus war man geneigt, ihm zu helfen; aber da er sich unartig bezeigte, so musste der Concurs eröffnet werden. Er begab sich nun nach Hamburg, gerieth auch dort in Geldverlegenheiten, und so kam es, dass er in einem Anfalle von Schwermuth am 25. Juli 1806 im Wandsbecker Gehölz durch einen Pistolenschuss seinem Leben ein Ende machte" (Band I, 207). Mit kleinen zeitgenössischen Besitzvermerken, sonst schönes, gut erhaltenes Exemplar mit nur leichten Gebrauchsspuren.
