A contemporary account of the First Burmese War, written on from the author's diary notes during the voyage back to England. This second edition includes a new and additional preface wherein the author refutes comments and conclusions of an un-named reviewer who criticised certain aspects of this book. In Good Plus condition, occasional spotting and browning, the map is moderately browned, front board beginning to pull from the spine at the top, otherwise the binding is tight and the book is square, leather spine and corners rubbed.
