In June 1980, a new literary magazine appeared: La Torre de Papel. Bimonthly book magazine of literature, science, art and philosophy. Mario Ferdman and Francisco Herrera were its directors. Years before, both had belonged to the Editorial Committee of La Gaceta Literaria (1956-1971), directed by Pedro Orgambide and Roberto Hosne. Its makers wondered, first of all, how to present a new venture without assuming a bombastic tone and making clear the sense of editing a new publication.
