There is a gentle roll to the spine and the boards are rubbed. The preliminary pages are a little spotty, especially the tissue guard in front of the frontispiece. Thereafter the pages are smooth and clean and abundantly illustrated. A 2-page section of plates between pages 90-91 is detached but present. May incur additional postage charges outside Europe.
