Loosely based on Henry James' 1888 novella "The Aspern Papers." A young publisher (Robert Cummings) attempts to obtain a famous writer's long-lost love letters, which are ke…pt hidden by the poet's former mistress (Agnes Moorehead), now an elderly recluse living in a decaying Venetian mansion. The old woman's niece (Susan Hayward), who acts as her live-in caretaker, agrees to help the publisher find the poems, discovering in the process the house holds far darker secrets. The first, and only, film directed by Martin Gabel. Set in Venice. 8 x 10 inches. Near Fine.

Copy belonging to uncredited associate producer Milt Myers, with script housed in spring binder with Myers name in gilt on lower right.…Annotations in manuscript pencil throughout, with first name of Monique van Vooren, who played Krys, written boldly and underlined on top of title page. Script is preceded by a six page "teaser" for the episode. Missing five pages, likely as used or issued. From the estate of actress Monique van Vooren. American OSS captain DiLuca (Martin Gabel), who has fallen in love with the Dutch spy Krys, is fed erroneous invasion plans through Holland, which Krys reveals to the Nazis, confusing them as the Allies prepare for the Battle of Normandy. "The Dupont Show of the Week" was a comedy, drama, and musical television anthology series which aired on NBC for three seasons from September 17, 1961 to August 30, 1964, and was nominated for eight Primetime Emmy Awards. Black untitled wrappers. Title page present, dated 10/25/61, noted as CUT VERSION, with credits for screenwriter Leon Tokatyan. 87 leaves, with last page of text numbered IV-23. Mimeograph duplication, with the exception of four leaves (IV6 - IV-8, and IV-19), which are carbon typescript on onionskin, rectos only. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Very Good plus.
