Prima edizione
First Edition. Limited to 500 copies. Quarto; card wrappers, 22pp. Fine but for some inconspicuous surface soil to the bright white wrappers, with no evidence of use. This is in fact a new copy, received from the publisher Raymond Danowski. A selection of work by the enigmatic British-American poet whose brief career intersected with both the late Beats and the New York mimeo scene of the Sixties. Fainlight's writing career was cut short by mental illness, and he died, alone, in 1976, having published (despite many contributions to periodicals) only one small chapbook during his life. This brief selection Includes a substantial Foreword by Stephen Spender and a frontispiece illustration by Mary Moore (daughter of sculptor Henry Moore).
