It was written by an experienced priest who aimed to improve the overall standard of church singing in the 16th century. The author presents a thorough exploration of musical theory, encompassing topics such as intonation, intervals, and the different modes of music. Practical guidance is also offered, such as how to identify the tonal center of a piece or how to sing in harmony with others. These principles are supported by numerous musical examples, which serve to illustrate the author's teachings and enhance the reader's understanding. Beyond its technical aspects, this book also delves into the spiritual significance of choral singing, emphasizing its ability to elevate the hearts of both singers and listeners. By blending musical knowledge with devotional insights, this book serves as an invaluable resource for anyone seeking to enhance their choral singing skills or deepen their understanding of sacred music. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
