Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book consists of essays by Th. Bentzon that explore the topic of women's inclusion in literary and academic circles, particularly in France but with exploration of the same in other countries. Within the book, the author analyzes the barriers faced by women in academia and the inequalities they encounter when attempting to achieve equal recognition of their work. The author provides a historical context for the reader by describing the existence of literary salons hosted by women over time and provides numerous examples of women's past writings being attributed to men. This book is a treatise on the accomplishments and barriers faced by women to gain full access to the world of letters. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
