Condizione: Bon. 1 vol. in-8 reliure de l'époque plein maroquin rouge, dos à 5 nerfs orné, roulette d'encadrement en plats, toutes tranches dorées et ciselées, Por Joachin Ibarra, Madrid, 1767, 18 ff., 592 pp. Docteur en droit et en théologie, avocat, Jose Maymo y Rives (1712-1775) est né à Villanueva de Alcolea (Catalog…ne). On le connaît surtout comme traducteur et défenseur de l'oeuvre du Barbadinho (pseudonyme de l'abbé portugais et figures des "Lumières", Luis Antonio Verney) et de son principal ouvrage : "O Verdadeiro Método de Estudar". Dans le prologue de ce recueil de ses oeuvres, Maymo insiste sur l'importance de l'histoire dans l'étude du droit, particulièrement la connaissance de l'Antiquité. Bon exemplaire en reliure de qualité du premier tome (sur les 2 parus) des "Proemiales" (rel. un peu frottée, très bon état par ailleurs) Langue: Espagnol.
