Approximately 91 illustrations. Apart from a slice taken off the top of the title page, probably to remove a previous owner's name, the contents are in good condition. The bindings have general wear, particularly down the right hand or leading edge of the front cover. The gold thistle decoration is still clearly visible but the title is a bit faded. Back cover is in better condition. However there is a small piece of wear in the middle of the spine at the back cover, about 2cm plus the spine is split by about 6cm up the back cover from the bottom.
