In meiner eigenen Klaviermusik versuche ich, Direktheit, Asymmetrie und vor allem Transparenz zu erreichen, die einen impliziten Raum und Stille schaffen sollen, die die Komposition unterstreichen. Die Musik ist scheinbar einfach, aber die Komplexität von Details und die Kombination aus Expressivität und Zurückhalten stellen dennoch eine Herausforderung für den Spieler dar; jede Geste sollte exponiert und klar sein. Da ich in der Hauptsache Werke für Gesang komponiere, sind melodischer Erfindungsreichtum, Wechsel von Klangfarben und Spontaneität im Rahmen einer klaren Form Aspekte, die ich auch auf meine Klaviermusik übertragen möchte.
