Super octavo, black/brown textured buckram boards, black adhesive buckram to spine- unlettered, frontispiece, c + 476pp, VG (moderate rubbing/scuffing & bruising to board extrems, moderate chafing & staining to boards, moderate tanning to page edges, lovely encouraging inscription in pencil to ffep by prev. owner, moderate foxing to prelims, occasional pencil underlining & annotation to margins & text).

Leather. Condizione: Fair. 512 pp. Full leather with gold decorative tooling around the edges of the boards; maroon title plate and decorative gilt on spine. Marbled end papers. Frontispiece plus twelve plates. Rear board detached and front board hanging by a thread. Spine is flecking leather but title is legible. Extremities worn and leather is cracked. Text block is tight and unmarked. Expected foxing throughout but very legible and overall very good condition. Size: 8vo. Book.
