Mit einem Nachwort zur Neuausgabe Deutsche Binnenkolonisation - Sachgrundlagen des Siedlungswesens von Jürgen von Reuß Leberecht Migge legte mit dieser Publikation eine Neuauflage der programmatischen Schrift 'Deutsche Binnenk…olonisation Sachgrundlagen des Siedlungswesens' vor, die er zuerst 1926 in der Schriftenreihe der Deutschen Gartenstadtgesellschaft veröffentlicht hatte. An den Anfang dieser Zwischenbilanz während der Konjunktur des Bauens in der Mitte der 1920er Jahre stellte Migge noch einmal das 'Grüne Manifest', die kritische Streitschrift, die er 1918 nach Ende des Ersten Weltkrieges verbreitet hatte. Darin fordert er eine neue Konzeption für die Gartenkultur. Sein 'Sozialer Garten' ist ein produktiver Garten, der durch Selbsthilfe die Existenz des Stadtbürgers sichert. Migge rückt ihn ins Zentrum einer neuen Siedlungspolitik: Die Entwicklung des Stadtrandes verbindet Wohnungsbau, Arbeitsbeschaffung, Abfallwirtschaft, Nahrungsmittelversorgung und Stadtgestaltung Stadtökologie vom Anfang des Jahrhunderts. In den 1920er und 1930er Jahren gestaltete Leberecht Migge zahlreiche Außenanlagen zu den Gebäuden des Neuen Bauens'. U.a. arbeitete er mit Architekten wie Bruno Taut und Martin Wagner (Hufeisensiedlung, Berlin-Britz, Waldsiedlung Berlin-Zehlendorf) zusammen und er war am Projekt Neues Frankfurt beteiligt.- Mit dem heute noch lesenswerten Manifest - etliche der Kapitel wirken in der Tat ganz aktuell - machte sich Migge zum Vorläufer und Vordenker der heutigen Ökologiebewegung.- Gut erhalten.
