With illustrations by Paul du Seuil and 42 pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear of the work.Pierre Casse-Couis written by journalist and novelist Marie-Thérèse Blanc, who published under the pseudonym Thérèse Bentzon. She wrote an influential essay on her observations of American women, first published in 1895. Other works of hers include Yette and La Rose-Blanche. This edition contains a frontispiece and numerous vignette illustrations from H. Meyer. In publisher's original decorative red cloth binding. Inscription from previous owner to the front paste down of Pierre Casse-Cou. Externally, smart with some bumping and rubbing to all volumes. Slight loss of cloth to spine tips, joints of Pierre Casse-Cou and Roses et Rubans and also to the spine tail of Pierre Casse-Cou. Small tide mark to the rear of Pierre Casse-Cou and general marking to the boards of all texts. Internally, Martine firmly bound but bindings of Pierre Casse-Cou and Roses et Rubans particularly tender. Pages generally bright and clean but suffer from sporadic spotting, heavier to the first and last few pages of each work. Good. book.
