Schon Foucault hat in seiner engagierten Analyse der Mikrophysik der Macht in der Industriegesellschaft den Nachweis erbracht, daB aile Men schen, gleich in welchen Positionen sie wirken oder welchem Geschlecht sie angehoren, machtkonstituierend wirken. Den Willen zur Macht entlarvt er, ganz in der Denktradition von de Sade und Nietzsche verankert, als univer selle, als anthropologische Leidenschaft. Wenn er dam it einen wichtigen Erkenntnisbeitrag zum Funktionieren von Macht, also ihrer Mechanismen, ihrer Strategien, geleistet hat, kommt er dennoch nicht zu einer differenzier ten Betrachtungsweise, die notwendig ist, urn das spezifische Gewaltverhalt nis zwischen Mann und Frau in der Gegenwart zu erfassen. Dazu ist es erforderlich, zwischen Macht und Herrschaft zu unterscheiden: Frauen tiben zwar Macht aus, aber Herrschaft ist patriarchal. Die heutigen Gewaltformen - als ein konkreter Ausdruck von Herrschaft und Macht - mtissen daher in ihren geschlechtsbezogenen, manifesten und latenten Formen analysiert werden.
