The answers obtained showed a tendency of the sick people to use medicinal plants for the treatment against this pandemic by using different plant species, in particular thyme and ginger. The main reasons for the use of plants by the population were mainly their efficacy, lack of side effects and being used to consuming them and to a lesser degree their abundance and low cost. From the ethnobotanical and pharmacological point of view, the foliage is the most used part while the infusion is the most practiced galenic form. This study allowed us to identify the medicinal plants used by the local population and to appreciate and know the traditional practices used in the prevention and control of COVID-19 infection.…

Las respuestas obtenidas mostraron una tendencia de los enfermos a utilizar plantas medicinales para el tratamiento contra esta pandemia mediante el uso de diferentes especies de plantas, en particular el tomillo y el jengibre. Las principales razones por las que la población utilizaba las plantas eran principalmente su eficacia, la ausencia de efectos secundarios y la costumbre de consumirlas, y en menor medida su abundancia y bajo coste.
