Pp. 399, Solida rilegatura coeva in mezza pelle verde, autore e titolo sul dorso ornato da fregi a catenella impressi in oro. Tagli spruzzati azzurri. Dedicatoria al prof. Mario Giardini. Qualche insignificante segno d…el tempo al margine esterno di poche pp., peraltro esemplare in stato di conservazione molto buono. Apprezzata edizione, interamente riveduta ed ampliata, di questo importante ed esaustivo trattato dell' illustre medico ostetrico francese autore di diversi studi sulle malattie delle donne e dei bambini. Questa è l' edizione interamente rivista ed aumentata dal medico calabrese, mancato nel 1843 a soli 38 anni, Pasquale Monterossi. L' opera è suddivisa in tre parti e otto capitoli, vi sono trattate le malattie femminili dalle mestruazione, con cui si apre il trattato, dall' età pubere all' età critica con la cessazione del mestruo, per poi occuparsi delle malattie legate alla generazione: dal concepimento, alla gravidanza, allo sgravio, all' allattamento.
