Wohl beinahe keine, weil die von Armut und Hunger Betroffenen als Angehörige anderer sozialer Verbände außerhalb unseres alltäglichen Fokus liegen. Mit einem Kongress zum Thema von Verantwortung und Gerechtigkeit im Prozess der Globalisierung haben das Landgericht Hildesheim und der Sprengel Hildesheim-Göttingen der Evangelisch-lutherischen Landeskirche Hannovers im November 2012 versucht, unseren Blickwinkel zu weiten und den Einzelnen zu sensibilisieren. Der vorliegende Band macht die Inhalte des Kongresses einer breiten Öffentlichkeit zugänglich. Thorsten Moos widmet sich den Fragen aus theologischer Sicht und setzt sich selbstkritisch mit der Rolle der Religionen auseinander. Religion kann auch im Kontext globaler Probleme einen Beitrag zur Geschichte der Vernunft leisten und erinnert die Menschen daran, dass es trotz der endlichen Möglichkeiten hier und jetzt getrost zu handeln gilt. Franz Josef Radermacher entwickelt sein Konzept einer Welt, die sich auch in Zeiten der Globalisierung in Balance befindet. Anhand zahlreicher Beispiele und Fragen nimmt er den Leser mit zu einer pragmatischen Betrachtung des Problems und plädiert für eine Lösung mithilfe des Prinzips der Kooperation. Die Basis sei eine Handlungsmaxime, nach der wir anderen nicht antun, was wir nicht wollen, dass man es uns antut. Dies erfordert aber auch massive technische Innovationen und einen Umbau der Zivilisation. Radermacher fordert die Abkehr von der absoluten Kurzfristigkeit des Denkens" hin zu einer weltweiten Ökosozialen Marktwirtschaft. Der Weg hin zu einer gerechteren Welt ist kein Selbstläufer, aber der Versuch ist die Mühe wert. Probably not very significant, since those affected by poverty and hunger are members of different social groups and thus lie outside our everyday focus. At a congress held in November 2012 on the theme of responsibility and justice in the process of globalisation, the Regional Court of Hildesheim and the Parish of Hildesheim-Göttingen in the Lutheran Regional Church of Hanover attempted to broaden our focus and sensitise individuals. This volume makes the proceedings of this congress available to a wider audience. Thorsten Moos examines the question from a theological perspective and takes a self-critical look at the role of religions. Franz Josef Radermacher develops his concept of a world which, even in an age of globalisation, remains in balance, and demands that we turn away from the "absolute short-termism of thought" towards a worldwide eco-social market economy. Jacob Schewe objectively and precisely describes the significance for humanity of global warming, which could have apocalyptic consequences over the next 200 years.
