Das «Insel-Hotel» wurde 1875 eröffnet und von Zeppelin bis 1902 geleitet. In diesem 4seitigen Schreiben an den Schweizer Unternehmer Adolf Guyer-Zeller (1839-1899) geht es um eine Schenkung an das Hotel, nämlich die Übernahme der Restaurationkosten des Chrysoloras-Bildes im Kreuzgang des ehemaligen Klosters und der Übermittlung der Bitte eines Pfarrers aus Ludwigshafen, auf diese Schenkung zu Gunsten seiner Kirche zu verzichten, was den Briefschreiber «vollkommen fremd» erscheint. - (Tinte in der Anrede und in den ersten 5 Zeilen verwischt).
