Published by the Art Craft Supply Co. in 1903.In the publisher's original red paper wraps, with numerous in-text illustrations of pattern designs throughout, and one plate of bead work pouches following the preface.The fourth in the How To Do It series, following Basket Making, Pyrography, and Chip Carving.Intended as a clear and simple instruction guide for both beginners and those wishing to teach, Morse offers readers an introduction to the craft before many patterns and examples for readers to be inspired by or replicate.Originally, the book would have been sent by Art Craft Supply along with a list of dyes, prepared wax and lacco along with specific instructions associated with them. In the publisher's original red paper wraps. Externally, mostly smart, with the odd small mark, mostly to the front joint, and fading, lighter to the rear wrap. Spine splitting and a chip to the head and tail of the spine, and to the front wrapper bottom extremity. End papers are bright and clean, with a couple of faint marks, and tender binding to hinges. Pink marks to rear advertisement leaf from rear wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with the odd small mark to leaf extremities. Good. book.
